The Ceremony
We're making it official just down the street at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau — the way New Yorkers do. We’re excited to have an intimate courthouse ceremony followed by photos around our neighborhood.

A NYC Love Story
From friendship to making it official in 2019,
Henry was violently introduced to the family through the wedding of Catherine’s cousin, the first trip they took together.
Sparks flew in 2017…
when henry and Catherine met on July 17 on their first day of work at Macys. Lunches in Bryant Park became a regular occurrence, with Catherine expertly constructing Greek salads using an increasing number of Tupperware containers. These lunches are where the seeds were planted and their relationship took root.
In 2020 at the commencement of a global pandemic,
they moved to Arizona for what was expected to be a month in the sun. One month quickly turned into 2 years of hiking, backyard bbqs, and adventure travel across the southwest. Most importantly, however, was the planned and executed heist of our son, Quinn, from the doldrums of northern Ohio.
May of 2023 brought a long-planned trip to Central Park to let our son frolic freely amongst the meadows, where an enthusiastic “Yes!” at Belvedere Castle set the course for their life ahead...
even if Catherine nearly let Quinn wander off in the process.
2022 brought the dreaded return to office mandate and the start of Henry’s NYU studies.
They made their home in Manhattan’s seaport neighborhood and have become fixtures of the tight-knit neighborhood.

The ceremony and reception are both in seaport/fidi. Everything is walkable. If you're coming from elsewhere in the city, take the [subway lines] to [station]. Cabs and rideshares work too — this is New York, after all.
If you're a local, you already know what to do.

[Decide: cocktail attire / dressy casual / "look good, be comfortable" — recommend cocktail attire to match the editorial vibe. Something like:] Cocktail attire. Think: what you'd wear to a really good dinner at a restaurant you want to impress. No need for floor-length anything.

Indoors for both days. The courthouse ceremony is inside, and Saturday's celebration is at an indoor venue. But we'll be in New York in July, so dress for warm weather when getting around.

We're keeping things intimate, so we've specifically invited the people we want there. If your invitation includes a plus one, it will say so. If you're unsure, reach out to us.

Obviously.

This is New York City. There is no parking situation. Take the subway, grab a cab, or walk. That's part of the charm.
-
Yes. You're welcome.
